Reinvention:
Thinking about my future is driving me CRA-ZY

Reinvention:
Thinking about my future is driving me CRA-ZY

Part of reinventing, or maybe a lot of the reinventing process, means figuring out What’s next? In addition to Who am I now? we very much want to know where/when/how our new chapter will take place. Please pass the bowl of stability. We tire of geography, or dysfunctional sameness, or discontent for what has worked for a long while. Something inside is nudging us on, but we can barely find words to explain it to others. But life needs to move…

Looking for our own Spring

Looking for our own Spring

As spring unfolds, I’m noticing growing plants everywhere that are reaching for the light, and working hard to grow strong and healthy. Every year that turns, those flowers and tree leaves own what they are, and go for it, and they’ll fight to stay alive in the fiercest of spring and summer storms. Growing and surviving make up their days. We are the lucky beneficiaries! I love seeing Instagram and FB photos of everyone’s spring outdoor joy-sightings this time of…

God is in lots of things besides words, words, words

God is in lots of things besides words, words, words

Abraham didn’t have a Bible. He worked his traveling sheep ranch, and looked at stars. And watched for embodied God to come and visit with him under an oak tree. Despacito
(slowly)

This summer I had lunch with Christine Caine, an author, speaker, anti-human trafficking activist, and founder of propelwomen.org. We’d never met before – a co-worker suggested the lunch. She thought Christine and I would have some things in common since we both are interested in helping women figure out their voice and what/how their gifts can be plugged into this world. Yep, Christine’s a bundle of energy. She admits her words come fast and furious. I liked that – get to…

Dad

Dad

My Dad passed away on June 19. He so graciously waited into minutes of the 19th, so we wouldn’t have to remember our Dad passing away on Father’s Day! At 11:45 pm on the 18th, the Ukrainian/spiritual mystic/hospice male nurse felt my Dad’s body and looked up and said, “He has decided not to leave today. It will be 12:30.” 45 minutes later he was gone. Thank you for taking care of details to the end, Dad. That was my…

Reinvention Experiment

Reinvention Experiment

A friend was explaining that S-curve diagram to me last week, the one, when it’s drawn, that looks like an S that fell forward and is lying on its stomach. Or you can think of it this way –  it can also look like the hill from that Hugh Grant movie, The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill but Came Down a Mountain. If this was a food blog I would insert 6-8 photos here of me drawing this out…
